Boondock Saints is one of those movies that it seems no one’s heard of except those who’ve seen it–and they can’t stop raving about it. And it’s with good reason, because the movie is a shining example of an action movie with the right mixture of action, comedy, and with just enough philosophy to kick it far above other action-comedies. The acting is great (if a little over-the-top), especially that of Willem Dafoe, and the movie has more than its fair share of memorable quotes (”Why don’t you make like a tree, and get the fuck outta here!”). This is the opening track to the movie, and the celtic feel perfectly suits the two irish heroes of the movie.
