For some reason, when I hear Beulah, it seems like it would be the perfect music to play on a pop-radio station. For me, this means that it’s easy-listening with fun lyrics that could easily get massive playtime. Yet the surprising thing is that even though I’ve heard these songs so many times, I find more to love about them on each listen; in other words, the exact opposite of most radio songs today (which I get desperately sick of within a few listens). This particular song strikes me as a “beach song,” not that I have any real reason for saying that. The accented chorus really makes it for me, though, and I also really dig the abrupt ending.
