I have to get some things off my chest. As the titular reference would suggest, the past few days have been very busy for me…sets of two things of roughly equal size, such as two long papers, two projects, two essays for college applications, and other things. Lots of other things….other things have been utterly occupying me; past memories and memories of other things. Curiously, I was feeling very thirsty yesterday, and kept getting more and more water; I wished I had some jugs of water available to me so I didn’t have to keep getting up. Alternatively, some melons would have been good too…so juicy and perfect to nibble on. For breaks, I would go and watch the boob tube, and there was once an interruption due to some persistent knockers on the door; while I was busily racking my brains they were trying to bust in. Finally I had to answer the door and bid them ta-ta’s. I also talked to a bro of mine who’s in India right now. He works out and can do lots of push-ups now, because his arms can easily support his weight. Because I was working on two different projects, I would frequently find my attention was cleaved between the two; this cleavage had a negative impact on my concentration. I would be trying to rationally go from A to B to C and then i lose focus and start repeating myself A B C D D…
While typing my paper, I kept switching the font. Arial was very appealing to me, but Arial’s letters “T” and “I” (but mostly “T”’s) kept bothering me. I also got sidetracked thinking about birds. There are so few birds here. I wished I would see some orioles or blue-breasted pheasants or white-breasted sea eagles or even red-breasted mergansers, whatever those are. The safety of these is an issue very close to my bosom because they are a beauty to behold. I imagine that I could see many of these creatures in exotic locations, such as Lake Titicaca.
